Using Galvanic Contact Pads the TAR-3 Resistance Meter can be used on stone or concrete floors (or walls). The pads are ‘attached’ to the surface using Bentonite clay powder mixed with a slightly saline solution (NaCl) to ensure a good, and uniform, contact. The TAR-3 Resistance Meter’s Line Mode is then used to measure the resistance and generate a Earth Resistance Tomography data file (ERT) which can be analysed using industry standard software.
The Galvanic Contact Pads are small and lightweight – they replace the stainless steel probes used outdoors.
